Washington Universities Named Among America’s Best Colleges

It’s that time of year again! If you plan to go back to school or send your children to college, American news and reports unveiled its 2022-2023 list of America’s Top National Universities. The researchers ranked more than 1,500 universities using 17 measures of academic quality, and two Washington universities entered the Top 100.

The University of Washington in Seattle was the highest-ranked University of Washington, tied for 55th with the University of Miami. Founded in 1861, UW has 36,206 undergraduate enrollment as of fall 2021.

Gonzaga University in Spokane ranked 83rd, the second Washington institution on the list.
