Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri welcomed the recent election of Youth Development and Sports Commissioner Daniel Igali to the United World Wrestling Bureau.
The governor, who was out of the country, spoke Thursday morning at the Samson Siasia sports complex in Yenagoa shortly after the weekly health and fitness exercise marked Prosperity Walk.

The state coxswain, who revealed he was in contact with the national teams representing Nigeria at the tournament, said he was delighted with the victory of the two teams over Hungary and Turkey in their first games of the tournament. band.
Diri noted that with Bayelsa’s performance in sport, the state now holds an enviable place in Nigerian sport and expressed his optimism that the state will continue to innovate in sporting events.
