Is the recession hitting people hard? The following eBay auction makes this author think so. A 45-year-old atheist man from California is imploring bidders to bid on a unique item. The winner will pay to have eBay user emeryemery neutered. The auction, which is currently at $6, will only come to fruition if the final amount is higher than the price of his vasectomy. “Pickup only” is the only method of delivery.
The seller explains his decision thus; “[I]f you are an [Aryan] or a religious zealot, a socially conscious liberal or a really ugly guy who wants to level the playing field if only by one, then place a bid for the right to stop me [from procreating].” The auction already has 14 bids. Will religious individuals bid to make one fewer offspring of an atheist? Will the general public “take matters into its own hands”?

That’s pretty funny. I wish this guy the best of luck in getting some fundie to pay for a surgery that he is probably going to have anyway. American innovation at its finest.
